Those who complain of the existence of such entities as Black Radical Congress should first of all change the practice of leftist circles in such a way that there won't be any need for black organizations, women's organizations, etc. A good number of lbo-talkers (and folks who contribute to other left journals + e-lists) have made it abundantly clear that anti-racism, anti-sexism, etc. shall remain marginal to their conceptions of the 'left.' So why complain when blacks, for instance, get together to address the issues that many white leftists feel aren't central to their political theory and practice?
