Received the lbo posting from Louis Proyect (June 22, 98, Monday) about nationalism and its history starting with Marx, and Engels. Nice well thought out and detailed summary comments about the history of nationalism in the socialist movement. It does not persuade me that nationalism is appropriate for U.S. blacks, but it was respectful, and enlightening posting. Thanks. Doyle Saylor
