Hi everybody-

A quick post before I go back on self-imposed computor restriction. Also, I was sick and was allowing myself to sleep a lot. Better now.

I was very confused till I realized I hadn't recieved lbo digest # 649. Also, the quote I pasted above my thanks to Charles, was the wrong text. I really do need to learn more about the magic box. So little time. Doing a lot of planting. Can't wait till spring. If half the stuff lives, the ugly slope of red clay, and oak roots that makes up part of my little front yard, is really going to be happening!

So Charles, you know what I'm talking about, I'm sure. You should hear how Uncle Ken Hamlin talks about Detroit and Maxim Waters. This guy is very good, and I hope many of you will take the time to listen. I only catch a bit, but I mean to try and catch more, cause something very interesting is happening, I think. The other day he said if you wanted to know what socialism would bring to this country, just go look a the Detroit inner city. He talks a lot about ferral black and latino youths, and many more insidious things. He actually had a woman from DSA on, but sadly, I didn't get to hear where he took it. Tried like hell to identify the Democratic Socialists as synonomous with the Democrat party and even though he had this woman actually on the program, which in itself is unprecedented behavior for one of these shows, and makes it a must-listen(IMHO), I can't believe a positive message would have been allowed to get though. A big thing with him and his callers is that it should not be called the Democratic Party. That an incorrect identification. It's the Democrat Party. Really gets whipped up about Uncle Joe and the Democrat Party The The Big Cigars are jjust the sort who know that a maniacal, calm, offense, is the best defense.

It seems the last defense of capitalism is to be launched behind A Phallic Symbol on a red background. Red for blood. Red for torn wombs. And red for anti-communism, which we mistakenly neglected to demand an apology for.

Have you; heard the car commmercial, Ford I think, where the guy is going to buy this truck because he has nothing to prove, because he's got kids! He just wants a truck to haul his and his grandkids stuff in. And obviously he's got a lot of stuff, and the grandkids have a lot of stuff, cause he's a real man, right?

Have you heard Gordon Liddy's show? He's always talking about having a hard on. Then Rupert Murdoch's paper says Clinton's not a real man, cause he won't bomb Iraq. Will this stuff still sell in America? Maybe, if everybody's distracted with hanging on to healthcare and staying 32. And did you see, the top 10 tv shows for blacks and whites are totally different. Not one overlap. Mr Murdock's fox network has certainly had a lot to do with that. BTW, does an;yone know if Tim Reid, tv actor and producer I read about, is the same guy that used to be on Barney Miller( was that it? you know, with Fish? And does "Am I Black Enough For You" by this Boyd fellow cover any new ground. I read "Race Matters", but couldn't gett excited about it, though I wanted to.

Sorry K, I'm skimming. I'm a slow reader, too. Obviously you yanged, Henry yinged, and energy was created. You still remind me of George, the rowdy orphan-kitten, who I always imagine with a dockers sweater and a pork-pie hat, getting into scuffles, in sheer, innocent exuberance.

Are you presently living in China, Henry? I would love to know more about current realities of Chinise life. I just read an article about the onslaught of the Western phamacuetical companies on Chinese society, and the incredibly high cost of western medicines. The piece said few workers still had health policies that covered drugs, but that the Chinese are suckers for brand names even if a Chinese rremedy that worked was a hundred times cheaper,(blaming the victim, again) and in any case, the doctors are being bribed, and the mark-up in Western drugs was one of the few good income streams for hospitals that have been tossed into the for-profit sea.

Sounds like dumping and price fixing should join bribery in the list of crimes necessary to establish market share. How long will the Chinese people put up with this, I wonder.

Hello Rakesh, you rascal you. Where is your famiily from, and what's it like there? Like I had no idea that the yin/female thing was so negative and powerful, until Henry clued us in. This and all this American dick is making me nervous. What shalls we dooze? As I often say to Romeo, and Catarina and Jenny. What shalls we dooze? These are somber echoes.

I'm with you guys, money-wise. Even though I have a ten day, to two week lag for getting my vast wealth out of the market, since I mostly have DRIPS, I think it will soon be time to exit, and I hope I don't over-do my lolly-gagging, though I think my time-frame makes me safe, even if I stay, unless capitalism collapes, in which case, that's good too. And if it doesn't, I hope to take my $4000 and buy Toyota and Wal-mart. Sorry, I like Wal-mart. I know they're evil, but I've never actually lived near one. What I really adore is McFrugal. I mean, what's worse. I say, really expensive stuff at the malls, that's also made by underpaid labor, would be a better target than Wal-mart. Lack of health-insurance makes folks feel bad, getting at least to buy cool cheap stuff makes the rubes, including me, feel better. It's bad, but an alienateing enemy for all by the most educated. Maybe, gotta go to bed.

Tom, Greg, gardeners of all ilks. Has any one ever seen a piece of eqipment that is cheap, electric(my preference) and shreds leaves like 14/1 like those blower vacs do? Like maybe, a large, food processor that has a collection thing under it? I need one, my best friend Susan needs one, can we be alone?

We don't want to chip wood of any significant bulk, but even small twigs and pine-cones clog up the small throat of the blower/vac thing which was the only alternative to the over-kill of the big, gas, expensive thing. A mulching lawn mower doesn't seem the best thing either, for tons of leaves.

And anyway, I use a reel mower on the little lawn part of my yard. I don't want a big, powerful, can't-get-it-started gas thing. Totally unnecessary for my purposes. I just want to shred leaves to; put in the compost heap and garbage bags with holes in them, and make some more of this great dirt and leaf-mold mulch I got for free after hours of feeding leaves, sifted of even small trigs, through that stupid blower\vac and still constantly having to stop and unclog the damn thing, untill the on/off button quit working.

HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS EQIPMENT OR DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE ABOUT MAKING ONE? I need this piece of equipment to make my gardening life flowing. Can anyone help me?

Doug, did your mean program withhold my lbo-digest #649 on purpose? As punishment for disobeying? Jeez.

Stay tuned for the further adventures of a list-criminal. I'm going to try cc'ing this to Greg, since he's off list. Who knows what will come of this reckless act?

Nighty-nite Your pal pms
