A lot of my phrases are also passing unacknowledged. It is I who repeat over and over that people make up Stalin's 'alleged crimes.' And they do. Stalin was, perhaps, like the Khmer Rouge, bad enough without exaggerating. When the official Soviet archives show that 3/4 of a million were executed by the state (mostly criminals, traitors, and Nazi war criminals) then perhaps we should morn for their lost souls. But when people start kicking around number like 10, 20, 30 million killed by Stalin then these are not only 'alleged crimes' - I was being sarcastic - but bald-faced lies. The myth scampering about these days is that Stalin murdered more than Hitler (maybe they're throwing the 23 million Soviet people Hitler murdered in there on Stalin's count). Likewise, the CIA, no pro-commie org, only reckoned about 120,000 killed in Cambodia. Bad enough. But 3 million? 4 million? Hell, the US military killed (at least what the CIA acknowledges) 5 times the CIA number attributed to Pol Pot in Cambodia during Vietnam.
