Jones catastrophism in this week's Barron's

Many of Mark Jones points about energy shortages may be
found in an editorial on the back page of this week's
Barron's. The editorial notes that the impending
shortage view is gaining currency at USDOE.    On the
other hand, Barron's editorials, like the WSJ's, are
known for being kinda nuts.  But yet on the other hand,
it does remark that many "eminent" people in the oil
industry favor this view.

I do not alter my basic positions, but fairness
requires that when a prominent Voice of Capital lends
credence to Jones' arguments, that I bring it to the
attention of people on this list.
