He's had a sic-et-non relationship with Perry Anderson since they
sorted out the Renaissance some time ago. How does he see his
differences now with the former ed. of NLR? (Notably "The Figures
of Descent" in *English Questions* and what we know of his
forthcoming *The Ends of History*.)
