Marxism 101

I just interested to know how come Duncan Foley's "Understanding Capital :
Marx's Economic Theory" Harvard Univ Pr (1986) hasnt got a mention as an
intro to Marx . In my view the chapter on methodology was excellent while
the rest of the book was straight forward and clearly written. Is it
because of some general hostility to the new interpretation of the LTV or
what?
