Our international president George Becker made a valiant effort Thursday night to explain the IMF and the global economic crisis to about 350 steelworkers attending our Ohio state legislative conference in Columbus. Even for the best trained professionals this would be a tough topic to get across to the broad cross section represented at our conference and that's what George did, he made these issues understandable.
I took notes during George's speech and I would say that he expressed what I would call our LBO society consensus opinion on matters of the IMF and the global economy. Without lapsing into the rehtoric of frustration that all of us exhibit on occasion.
