My first ever over-quota post, but I just wanted to point to exhibit A for
my little thesis, Boddhi.  Compare the view on war assumed by a non-elite
potential corpse (Bill Clinton, 1968, re. Vietnam) to an elite potential
victor (Bill Clinton, post-1992, re. just about anywhere).

Both men are clearly being rational - within an obscenely irrational
context, of course.
