i think i've seen the hitler connection in just about every newspaper i've read (probably 6 or 7 us papers).
i have also read about the possible/probable racial aspect of shootings in those reports. one of the thirteen dead was a black student. i don't know if any of the wounded students were black. i heard two students report that the shooters shot one black student after spewing racial slurs (i think it was the same student, a young man shot in the library). i do not want to suggest that race played no role in this incident, but i think it would be easy to overemphasize race as the primary motive for these young men's actions. they were disaffected, alientated teenagers who hated a lot of people.
