One person to pay attention to (know the enemy), though
not an economist, is Thomas J. Friedman and his rabid
defense and cheer leading for globalism. He's on the talk
circuit now due to his latest book. He's pretty hard to take
especially with his matter-of-fact, avuncular style. His
position on globalism is indefensible. He justifies the big
stick that the US continues to carry and talks like an
economist (everything occurs in the aggregate, particular
suffering or loss is never counted). Such horse shit.
