Perhaps you mean the Nazis did arise until the 1920's. But the KKK was founded over a hundred years ago. But continuum I am talking about begins with the Slaveowners, the original fascists, centuries old. 

This ia another example of diverting "precision", trivial precision. The implication is that there is some important "scientific" difference between the racism of the KKK and that of the slave owners, or the Nazis and the centuries of anti-Semitism in Germany.  Important to this analysis is that the KKK and Nazis represent the end of the racist continuum that has existed for centuries, as the descendents of the slaveowners and anti-semites.
