Damn right. If kids want to experiment with diminution of their personal well-being for the sake of ideals, they will have plenty of opportunity when they are grown, and minimally situated to make the decision for themselves. Not have it made 'for' them.
Does one believe in the accessibility of the demos, the folks? Does one build institutions for them? Is our pedagogy about reproducing that which we know? And do we cheat for our kids?
