actually, a lot of folks go along with abortion for just the very reasons
those chicago school wankers cite.  that is, most people support abortion
for what they consider 'good' reasons:  rape, incest, health of mother,
economic insecurity.  as for the last, folks support that one because they
*do* think that poverty is a significant factor correlated w/ crime rates,
violence, etc.  people do think that children shouldn't be brought into the
world if their parents can't support them adequately because the result,
they think, are various social problems which they'd rather not pay for.
what people reject is  "abortion on  demand"  b/c they think women are
being selfish, uppity, too feminist, etc
