Regrettably, I think increased knowledge of other religions yields rapidly diminishing marginal returns in terms of promoting tolerance. There is tremendous built-in hostility among the three major monotheistic religions, which is why I think these traditions ultimately serve to impede rather than promote harmony in the world.
