If this is the reason for your claim that "science _is_ becoming a kind of religion," you might as well argue against education tout court.

As a matter of fact, it is fundamentalists -- not Rakesh -- who worship the aura of science. Otherwise, why do they wrap up their religion in the mantle of science? While contesting the scientific methods when they disagree with their religion, they still covet the aura of scientism. That's pathetic.
