It is because economists all over the world are ignorant that they still use GDP to judge the economic growth of a country.
I'd like to tell economists that what poor people need is "raising the living standards", not GDP.
If the living standards of poor people are raised, they can will afford to make a trip by airplane. But poor people still can't afford to send their children to school when GDP is raised. Therefore economic theory must be based on the living standards of people, especially poor people, not GDP. Ju-chang He
