Nathan did not appreciate my take on the Blumenthal affair, but I am enjoying the impeachment. It makes all concerned appear like idiots.

I was wrong in one sense. I thought that Clinton would have to ease up on triangulation in order to stroke the congressional "left." I had not realized how easily people such as Maxine Watters would fall in the Clinton defense camp without extracting any payment in return.

People like Bob Barr are more entertaining than the cop shows being discussed here. Who could have been creative enough to dream up him and the rest of the boobs? Brian Denehey could play Henry Hyde in the movie [but I don't think that he could be humerous enough]. Who could have played Alfonse Damato, singing Old McDonald? And now they are trotting out Dan Quayle again? Who needs Disney?
