Love 'em or hate 'em ole Wassily was a damn good economist - he caught A LOT of shit from the "business community" for his input-output work and the implications for planning (both GE and GM drew a lotfrom his work).
Anwar Shaikh's work on Marxian Income accounts also drew from Leontief's pathbreaking work. Recently, a student of Shaikh's at the New School - Ed Chilcote - wrote an incredible dissertattion that updates and extends Leonftief's and Shaikh's I-O research.
