the fact is, frances, you can't. the problem is most men see the word 'gender' and then translate it into the word 'woman' in their brain. virtually all communication is gendered and most of it silently assumes male gender unless otherwise specified, so when gender is specified, women tend to be included in the discussion, but when gender is not specified, the assumption tends to be male only. maggie coleman mscoleman at aol.com
