How about, the resourses you have? Say, someone making $50,000. Their kids grandparents help fund private and higher education. You inherit Uncle Jack's house in a gated community, you're gonna be for school vouchers, small gov't, etc. Plus the fact that this generation, and especially the next are getting bucks when parents die. These folks are smug in their "self-reliance", "self-made" delusions.
