Charles Schwab is doing some big time TV reassurance advertising in the Cleveland media market. The commercial that Schwab is running reminds me of a downscale version of the Harry&Louise medical insurance ads. Two rather lumpy characters who start the ad slouching on a couch and end up setting on the floor in front of the couch as they discuss riding out the market with Schwab.
The lady in the Schwab commercial has the look and gestures of the former feminist Senator from Colorado, Pat Schroder. Her "husband" looks like everybody's CPA after a few beers.
