Whether correctly or not, U.S. authorities (both national and local) regard Black dissidents as more dangerous than white dissidents. Remember that Mumia (independently of his "guilt" in the crime charged) is under sentence of death because as a black journalist he exposed police brutality in Philadelphia. And of course most on this list are familiar with the FBI pursuit of Panthers and other black groups in the '60s & '70s.

I think we can assume (given the overall bloody record of the U.S. ruling class, at home and abroad) that if and when they judged this list dangerous there would be no particular limit to the physical damage that might occur to Doug.

This is no reason, of course, not to use the margin the U.S. state and legal system does give us, or to fight to maintain or expand that margin.
