Labor Notes folks have talked about cross-border 'upward harmonization' (specific phrase probably doesn't have placard utility) of wages...and the National Labor Committee has tried to make 'fair trade' (sustainable wages & human rights protections) an issue...obviously, international solidarity is easier said than done...any listers with news on such fronts in textile/garment or any other industries?...
