A comment the Redstocking juxtapose with the, um, curiously forthcoming private finance for the first issue of Ms. - $1 million from Warner Communications, subsidies from New York magazine (then run by Clay Felker, who worked with Gloria on a CIA-sponsored magazine in the 1950s, more money from some mysterious data procesing firm not listed in any standard industrial directories - to suggest that GS may have been taking her advice to the CIA to heart.
