True, but I was thinking more in the rank-and-file sense.

I don't classify anyone here that way either. But conversation is a pretty weak test. For instance, for some people that I deal with in my mid-echelon status, I get very different impressions of them from people that work for them or deal with them in some kind of subordinate capacity. And of course, when things get dicey peoples' truer character tends to become more exposed.

For all its distance from power, I'd say the left is full of scumbags, if somewhat less than other political precincts. Some of their names have popped up here, by way of testimony from list members.
