Ward Churchill and Jim Vander Wall (_Agents of Repression_) indicate more than 40 Panthers were murdered by police between 1968-1971... their number does not include the deaths that the FBI's COINTELPRO operation was responsible for through instigating and provoking battles between the Panthers & black nationalist orgs and between Cleaver Panthers and Newton Panthers...
