PLEASE FORWARD

Hi all,

I am going to be spending two months this summer conducting a survey of workers rights in Turkey and the Middle East. This survey is being done on behalf of the Yale Law School's Workers Rights Project in conjuction with Global Exchange, a Non-Governmental Organization devoted to human rights and workers empowerment.

My primary focus in on how unions there are responding to the global pressure of multinational corporations, as well as documenting the freedom given to unions by their own governments.

I am working now to set up interviews for my time in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, the Palestinian Authority, Israel or Egypt. This will be during June and early July. My Turkish and Arabic are nearly nonexistent, so I am looking for interview contacts who can speak English.

Are their people who you know with connections to the labor movement in the region? Any names, address, phone numbers and/or email addresses for unions or other workers' organizations would be much appreciated?

Thank you for your attention,
