No, Henry, I don't think your questioning the mistake claim by the U.S. is silly. Even if it was "unintentional" , it was reckless. But given the U.S. record of lying in such matters, who could trust their mistake claim. What is silly and naive is to accept the U.S. claim of "mistake" at face value, and to not question it.
