Well, I just want to say that Alex may be thumping his chest a bit
alpha-malishly -- accusing Doug of being pussywhipped (actually, 
writing that letter was Doug's idea, not mine) and implying that Doug is
effete (lives in New York, owns no horses)  unathletic ("puffing") and
afraid to get out of his car and face the  he-men of the West.  But you
can't deny it -- when it comes to defending the local coffee roaster
from the inroads of Equal Exchange, Cockburn's the man!
