I remember at a DSA event in '91 in San Francisco, a presentation by a leader in the Physicians for a Single Payer system or a National Health Care system(can't remember exact group name)( can't remember person's name, he taught at UCLA, maybe Richard Brown, author of ,"Rockefeller Medicine Men, Univ. of Ca. Press?) who had advised Kerrey. Later if memory serves Kerrey supported the "managed competition" line. Kerrey also served on the Social Security Commission which could be part of the wedge to deliver Soc. Sec. to Wall Street.
