Kudos to Art for finding this connection! It helps add some texture to the idea that Fulani has an overly romanticized view of populism where the potential of working with Buchanan in a left/right Black/White populist coalition against the corrupt regime might seem attractive.
This is, of course, in addition to the reputation of Fulani and her mentor Newman for astonishing opportunism.
