of course he's not quite gone yet though i can't imagine him working with independents (his own party seemed difficult enough) and it seems unlikely that susan davies would swing that way in any case
i have friends holding parties to celebrate the near chance of losing him and it still seems so unlikely
what if anything does it mean for howard? just that victoria was sick of jeff and nothing more? (lovely to see peter reith shifting uncomfortably in his chair) from outside it seemed to run mostly on privatisation, and it would be nice to think the other govts (including this one in SA) would run a little scared from that in the near future.
oh yeah, for the rest of the world there was a state election (Victoria) in Australia this weekend. jeff didn't win; though it's also possible he didn't lose.
