Well, since my crystal ball was crystal clear, Bush's successes will begin and end with passing a few popular tax cuts - marriage penalty and an estate tax cut - plus watered down Dem initiatives like health care bill of rights and prescription drugs. And yeah, he will have a raging rightwing that will rapidly turn on him. And the Dem opposition will be quite tough and quite mobilized, if only because however much Shrub romances them, Tom Delay will keep kicking them in the balls and thereby keep them riled for warfare. Thank god for Delay and his bully boys down in Miami-Dade; without his "whiff of fascism", the aroma of bipartisan bullshit might have lulled larger numbers of folks. There will be a period of honeymoon, if only to avoid accusations of "obstruction", but by 2002, the halls of Congress will be a partsian war zone.

With big wins for the Dems in the fall elections.

You heard it here first :)
