Since Jim O' Connor is participating on another thread, and I read, the G.A.
Cohen book on histmat. when I took one of his classes way back in the early
80's when I went to UCSC (Jim was a major reason I went to Uncle Charlie's
Summer Camp, the land
of the Banana Slugs, Slugs Rule!!!) what sayeth
Jim O' Connor now on the Cohen technodeterminist thesis? Just looked in the
index to Accumulation Crisis and The Meaning of Crisis, no Gerald Cohen
cites. Is Cohen one of those "analytical Marxists" now? Or "socialism is
dead" types? Somewhere, I thought I'd seen some (sectarian?) comment to that
effect, in the context of other Brit marxists like, Tom Nairn, Norman Geras
and other NLR writers of old. Course whoever said this, half remembered
bilge, probably hates Perry Anderson too, for his comments on Fukuyama.
