I pointed out (conclusively, I think) a fundamental weakness in a major premise of his theory, that his singular vote would significantly influence the election in the sense of selecting the right adversary. The chances of it doing so are so remote as to be completely inconsequential. As a result, other costs and benefits must be considered, for example Nathan's public-influence model (dubious as far as I can see) or my aesthetic and moralistic model (very practical, with an immediate, verifiable payoff).
