hi,

for the cultural section of the newspaper "sueddeutsche zeitung" i am currently writing an essay about the linkage of migration and new technologies. i found a lot about the question h-b1 vs. greencard, and some more initiatives to offer a better status to the it specialists. here in germany the debate started in march, when for the very first time since 25 years it was declared by companies and then also by the government, that migration is urgently needed. but the unions are very reluctant.

do you have any further material about the u-turn of afl-cio and ieee? what do you think about that? i saw some critical remarks in wired, and by some individuals. do you have any contact to the indian programmer community?

i was in los angeles, when the janitor strike started. do you think it had some impact for the current campaigns?

what would you think about a really globalised campaign

EVERYONE IS AN EXPERT

in guess we will start something like that in autumn in paris...

would be great if you could help me a little bit or bring me in contact with people who are working on the topic.

thanks a lot!

florian

btw: some people told me that they got your messages several times. i think it is ok if you send it just to my adress, i am reformatting and commenting it for our mailinglists.
