It would be a waste of time to point out all the ways in which the extremely tired Goldstein is wrong in his piece, but I think this statement is pretty revealing: "Our leaders were assassinated before our eyes." JFK--revolutionary hero. Goldstein should stick with what he does best: showing how Rick Lazio is a homophobe for using the word "pansy" and how Saving Private Ryan is sexist because there are no women in it and how graffiti artists are smashing dead-white-male hegemony. Etc.

On the bright side, now that the New Movement has gotten the Village Voice treatment--which of course includes a fashion spread!--the ground is laid for the Rolling Stone and Time magazine treatments--with fashion spreads! You can probably set your watch by it.
