I am concerned that this event seems to leave so many undisturbed. With the maze of laws in the U.S. there is almost no one who can not be convicted, if the authorities so desire, of some minor "traffic ticket" offense -- and this case shows that if the authorities so desire, the most trivial offense can lead to the imposition of penalties which are utterly crippling politically.
But then RCP and monomaniacal mumia defenders are not real people.
