This is not his job, this is ours. No picture-perfect leader scraped off the back of a cereal box is going to bail us out, only messy, imperfect, democracy can do that: the slow, painful task of building a new set of parties and institutions, while revitalizing old ones. The real question is, is the Green Party the right vehicle, or is the Labor Party, or do we need both? (I'm agnostic on this one -- must be that pernicious postmodernism again).
