Chris Burford asks for "the" political and philosophical stance. With such a range of contributors- Rawls, Rorty, Taylor, Dahl, Levinas, Eagleton, Lyotard, Dews, Elster, Chomsky, from left-liberal, to pomo to communitarian to neo-marxist to libertarian socialist, it looks hard to say.
There is a newish Verso book with these papers and more, for those that might want to peruse between covers. When I was skimming the Robert Dahl, I was put off by the length- who reads really long texts on a computer screen?. Anyway, hope this Belgrade Circle, that initiated those discussions comes to a better end, than the Praxis group, that was written about in Lingua Franca, a while back.
