i was surfing around that site not too long ago and noticed my dearest maxhunkhoney and brad-spank me-delong and brett-it's class all the way down-knowlton (*jab* i couldn't resist brett, sorry) among others were featured as part of a section on criticisms of the parecon model. held that thar debate right hear-ah on Lame Brained Oeconimus an' all. we didn't have popcorn and ball park franks just yet though.
i'd hasten to point out that if you're trying to convince your interlocutors, you shouldn't bother. the only reason this debate started was because the Yoshie and Carrol Comedy Hour insisted that democracy was somehow "bad". which is jiss fascinatin' to me since carrol just told me not too long ago that i took a position antithetical to democracy, to wit:
>Kelley merely despises democracy and therefore sneers at all the
>methods by which democracy can be made an actuality
in third person interrogative no less! hot damn! the two carrols strike again.
go figure!
anyway, if y'all are trying to convince carrol or yoshie, hang it up. it's a waste of time. but if y'all are interested in maybe having this discussion while ignoring the Comedy Hour then i'd say "go for it!"
