He supports allowing it to be banned, except where the health of the mother is endangered. Since about the only time late-term abortions are performed is in exactly when the mother's health is endangered, such as threatening her ability to have children again, such a "ban" would effect almost none of the procedures actually performed.
Why people like Doug have an inability just to concede the Gore has a good position on abortion is beyond me. Why not just argue that there are other reasons to vote Nader. There are pluses and minuses to going third party. Having to build a Manichean worldview to justify your position is just a weak route to political analysis.
