Well this report could not have been more dramatically confirmed !!

For the Bush side after their repeated rumblings against people going to law, to be the first party to take out an injunction, suggests they realise the hand count could lose them everything.

It was also suspicious that up to this moment both sides had studiously not briefed the press about the importance of the hand count. They were both talking about waiting for the due time for the absentee votes.

At his carefully informal press conference just now, aided by a mischievous untended dog, Bush was quick to claim that there have already been 8 legal intiatives by others before their injunction (but he could not claim that any of them were officially by the Democratic Party.

CNN reports legal comment from both parties now that hand counts tend to favour the party that is already ahead in the area of the handcount.

It is also rather desperate in terms of public perception that the Republican have had to go to a federal court for the injunction to argue that hand counts are unfair, because Florida law specifically allows for hand counts.

Dramatically the hand recount is starting now, before the application for the injunction has been heard.
