I'm surprised you left out "The Matrix" by the Waschowski Brothers. Brilliant fucking political film, with Fishburne as St. Paul to Keanu Reeves's Second (or was it First?) Coming. And keeping on the white boy tip, try Fincher's "Fight Club," a much misunderstood, anti-consumerist masterpiece. Everytime I see those corporate towers implode at the end as the Pixies sing "Where Is My Mind," I fairly weep.

Disagree about "G.I. Jane" though -- unless you include it as kitsch.
