If Bush comes out the winner of the mess in Flordia, also put to the test will
be the predictions of the anti-Nader
"you-must-vote-for-Gore-to-avoid-Bush-destroying-everything" crowd. For
instance, my bet is that abortion will still be legal (but decreasingly
available) four years from now, if Bush is president (and the same if Gore is
president); in contrast, many have predicted that Roe is doomed with Bush in
the White House.
