Just to give you some idea of what those wacky liberals are saying nowadays. This is from the "Online Journal," a sort of liberal response to shit like the Drudge Report (only it gets less hits). http://www.onlinejournal.com/

Naderites brought you Bush

By Craig Frend

November 26, 2000 | The Naderite attacks on Gore, designed to vilify him and help Bush get elected, now seem part of the plot to steal the election.

The Bush operatives helped Buchanan steal and neutralize the Reform Party, even playing on Perot's ego and resentment to get his endorsement.

Co-opting and buying out the Naderites now seems just an obvious function of the Bush "dirty tricks" campaign, which included confusing ballots, discouragement of "ethnic" voters from Haiti and those of darker skin generally, and behind-the-scenes sabotage of Gore's advisors.

The Naderite excuse that the democrat party needs a "cold shower" now rings especially hollow, as is their excuse that they killed Gore because they wanted their 5% vote to get their blood money for "next time".

If the worst happens, Nader himself will probably take a position in a grateful Bush Administration, probably in the Department of Consumer Affairs.

After all, it is easier for a doctrinaire, rigid and foolish person like Nader to work with the repubs, who could care less about the suffering of the poor. Like Nader's killing of the Corvair, which doomed us to a generation of gas hogs, he has been no friend of the very principles he verbally espouses.

Nader is a hypocrite, who has little to lose personally since he lives like a monk and sits on millions of dollars in his personal fortune, even holding a mutual fund that holds Occidental Petroleum stock, for which he bashed Gore. He has little in common with the ordinary family, who have to care about things like quality of schools, neighborhood security, air quality, etc., etc.

The Naderites played on the fear and prejudices of those who would easily dismiss "the system" as the problem, without having a clear idea of what they are going to substitute for it.

It was those who threw up their hands in disgust at "the system" in 1968 who threw the election to the Nazi Nixon.

People had good reason to think that "the system" could never work after the blatant theft of that election by the assassinations that year. But if they had NOT given up, if the rather vapid Humphrey had won, there would not have been the Air War, millions of civilian deaths of Vietnamese, and the horrors of the Cambodian Genocide, directly traceable to US incursion into Cambodia and the creation of the Lon Nol government.

Bush and the powerful forces pouring mega-bucks into his "dirty tricks" campaign are a deadly foe.

There were 8 states, including Florida, where the Naderites tried to cost Gore up to 48 votes, enabling the forces behind Bush to have a chance at stealing the election, where the popular vote and the will of the people favor the Democrat, but the tricks gave the advantage to the bad forces.

Republicans put out ads quoting Nader and his ilk as he bashed Gore.

Nader has revealed himself to be a selfish, egoistic force, perhaps under control of the CIA. Being a millionaire, he could apparently not care less about the environment and the poor, who do have something to lose if Bush got in.

Bush would, as he admits, work to revoke abortion rights, kill the EPA, the Clean Water Act, etc., and work hard to support the Oil Companies bid to drill offshore and in the Alaskan Wildlife Reserve, and to undo President Clinton's creation of national monuments and Marine Protected Areas.

Things would not get bad enough to cause a "revolution." That excuse by the Naderites is also false.

No one is going to revolt if Bush kills Roe v. Wade, instead, there will just be more back-alley abortions which will kill and maim those too poor to pay for illegal abortions (people like Bush, of course, were able to afford an expensive 1971 abortion, not so for many of the poor women).

Similarly no one is going to revolt if the forces behind Bush and the Naderites drill offshore, and kill what little protection for Endangered Species there is.

They would get away with killing untold poor folks, who live in the shadow of refineries who buy "pollution credits" to continue fouling the air of communities of color.

The Naderites blame Clinton for not doing more. Well, now, as in the 'bricks without straw' story, they will find out how worse it can get.

People being as feckless as they are, if Bush were to get in, people will look back on Clinton as the "good days". In a year or two, after Bush reveals his true horror, my prediction is that people would be happy to crown Clinton President for life if he would only bring back the times we are just about to lose!
