But there's no such thing as pure desire, of course, just concretely desirous (or desireable) subjects. Once you abstract desire, you end up with a fantasm of the credit superstructure (access not to the things themselves, but to the things which purchase other things), which pushes you over the border of Utopia into mundane, messy Ideology.
I, personally, desire the spectacle of Via putting the smackdown on Intel's market-share for low-end CPUs.
