Religion is a very effective means of societal control. I dont understand where they has to go into reproduction except in the form of marriage again, social control.

I was referring to the biological process of sex and pregenancy. Remember, before this century, women dying during childbirth and miscarriages, etc were very common occurances (dangerous). You also couldn't control potential genetic flaws being passed on (random). And the act only results in a potential preganancy for a few days a month (inefficient).

Whose going to ask them to stop having sex? I guarantee that once you have the ability for humans to 'digitize' their consciousness and replace their body with a robotic or cyborg shell that you will have volunteers ready to sign up.

My point was, once these individuals exist, and "Homo Sapiens" begin to see them as a threat and demand that they be eliminated or stop 'production' or not grant them 'right to life', how long will it take till "Homo Sapien Silicon" view "Homo Sapiens" as the enemy. Do you really think they will end up living together in peace and harmony? Who would win?
