Been there done that! In 1969 and with CISPES in the '80s. Once with CISPES we had a march which veered out of it's way through a mall. That worked pretty well, but I don't think it's really worth while until a movement has developed and you have a base in the community that already understands why you are doing what you are doing. Otherwise it's just kids playing games. You'd be amazed at how much security there is in those malls. We also have left piles of leaflets in washrooms in the Mall.
Also in 1969 we tested it in court. Several of our people got arrested in a local mall, and we got the ACLU to contest it all the way to the Supreme Court. We lost.

There's a whole realm of possibilities, and with enough people under the right political conditions some of them can be made to work. But don't daydream that the mall security doesn't have a complete list of them.
